Kate Rush is the Chief Information Officer for Workforce Technology and head of the Technology Resource Group for the PNC Financial Services Group.
In this role she is accountable for leading the technology teams that support Human Resources, Legal, Audit, Corporate Social Responsibility and the Enterprise Change Office. Additionally, Rush is the head of the newly formed Technology Resource Group and charged with creating a strategic framework for managing human resource risk, productivity, location and skills across Technology.
Prior to her current role, Rush was the head of Technology Business Operations for PNC. The Business Operations team was accountable for strategic planning, program and project management, agile enablement, organizational change management, insights and analytics, financial planning, vendor management, communication and marketing, employee engagement and workforce development objectives.
Previous leadership roles include Rush as the director of PNC’s global Quality Engineering team, which governed and executed all end-to-end quality testing for the Enterprise, utilizing a Global talent network. Key successes include a significant reduction in change related production incidents, DevOps adoption with <65% automated test execution and creation of many testing accelerators. Rush also modernized the Technology Disaster Recovery capability automating failovers and executing tests of <1,000 applications.
Prior to joining PNC, Rush spent eight years at Bank of America where she held a variety of global leadership positions, including merger and acquisition integrations, program and product management and business operations.
Rush champions efforts to increase diverse talent in technology and is passionate about mentoring technology talent within PNC. She graduated cum laude from Davidson College in North Carolina. Kate lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her husband Matt, two sons Jack and Oliver, and their dog, Tucker.
