Snehal Bhakta is a member of Teach Engineering and supports their program expansion and Teach Engineering’s Champions Institute, also known as TECI (techie).
He also serves as an Affiliate Coordinator for NCWIT’s Aspirations in Computing, where he leads outreach and recognition efforts that expand participation in technology pathways for students across Nevada. He also contributes to NCWIT’s Counselors for Computing initiative, where he partners with schools and districts to strengthen K–12 computer science programs and equip educators with strategies to broaden participation in computing.
Snehal earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering and Secondary Education from Kansas State University and holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. He has also completed Georgetown University’s Certificate program in Educational Finance, Leadership and Management.
Through this work, he helps connect education, the workforce, and community partners to create more inclusive and impactful CTE and STEM opportunities for all students.
In his free time, he enjoys watching movies on the “Big Screen”, spending time with his daughter and their adopted dog, and embracing his inner Trekkie at Star Trek conventions.
