NCWIT AspireIT Toolkit
Published on 12/01/2025
The NCWIT AspireIT Toolkit helps anyone interested in designing engaging and inclusive computer science experiences for K-12 students, with a focus on broadening participation in computing. The Toolkit equips facilitators with the resources and support they need to make a lasting impact in their communities.
The Toolkit is organized into three parts:
- Engage Students
- Raise Awareness, and
- Connect With Others
These three parts expand to provide research, resources, and real-life samples of components that are critical for running computing- and technology-based programming for participants in grades K-12: program planning, lesson design, facilitation, and reflection. All content provided incorporates three core values shown to foster effectiveness and lead to the greatest impact for participants and their communities: peer mentorship, inclusivity, and hands-on engagement.
