Eshika Saxena is a freshman at Harvard University planning to major in Computer Science. She developed an early interest in technology as a regular participant in FIRST Lego League robotics competitions and expanded her knowledge by taking several programming courses. Through summer internships at the University of Washington’s Ubiquitous Computing Lab, Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab Outreach Summer Program (SAILORS), Apple Engineering Technology Camp, and Research Science Institute at MIT, she gained hands on experience and a deep foundation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML). Eshika is passionate about solving real world problems, especially in the healthcare field, with the power of technology. She has developed several innovative solutions that have been recognized nationally/internationally with awards from Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Cutler-Bell Prize for Computing, Regeneron Science Talent Search Top 10, Intel International Science and Engineering Fairs (ISEF), National Junior Science & Humanities Symposium, Cisco’s IoT World Forum Young Women’s Innovation Grand Challenge, Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Summit, and Davidson Fellows Honorable Mention. At Harvard, Eshika is involved with many clubs, including Society of Women Engineers (Career Development Chair), Women in Business (Finance Committee), Global Alliance on Medical Innovation, Leadership Institute (Teaching Fellow), Women in Computer Science, and the South Asian Association (Freshman Representative). Eshika is a blackbelt in Taekwondo and loves to travel and dance in her spare time.
